Phillips completes Caribbean hat-trick
Daniel Phillips has completed a hat-trick of junior Caribbean titles after winning the Jamaica Under-14 singles title with a comfortable 6-0, 6-1 victory over local player Keyon’dre Clarke in the final.
Phillips, 13, followed up recent triumphs in Aruba and Bahamas with another win over the Jamaica No 1 player with, what coach Sam Maybury described as a “clinical display of controlled power” in Kingston.
Maybury added: “Thanks to all the main media and social medial supporters and fans, we could not have done it without your support.”
Phillips will rest today before travelling tomorrow to Dominican Republic for his final stop on the Cotecc under-14 circuit.
