Albouy top scored for PHC with 81

PHC got back to winning ways with this comfortable 62-run victory over their One First Division rivals Somerset Bridge at White Hill Field yesterday.

Jelani Albouy scored a half-century batting lower down the order, while all-rounder Charles Trott shone with the bat and ball.

Led by Albouy’s top knock of 81, PHC posted 180 for eight in their allotted overs.

Albouy featured in PHC’s highest partnerships, adding 33 for the fourth wicket with Ellsworth Bean and 67 for the fifth with Trott.

Trott was next high man for the visitors with 27 while opener and former coach Mark Smith added 16.

Jaimie Raynor, the off spinner, was the pick of the Bridge bowling with three for 38 while Williston Furbert took two for 15 with his leg spin.

Bridge came up short in reply to put a dampener on new coach Winston Reid’s first official match in charge.

Donnie Charles topped the hosts batting with 31 while fellow middle-order bat Jason Smith chipped in with 27 and Jermaine Nisbett 18 batting lower down the order at No 9.

Darren Anglin led the PHC attack with three for 24, Bean took two for seven and Trott two for 33.

n Reggie Baker scored 115 not out as Flatts chased down 264 to beat Willow Cuts in a First Division match on Saturday at Somerset Cricket Club.

Cuts posted a challenging 264 with Kwasi James leading the way with 106. However Flatts, who handed PHC their first loss last weekend, were up to the task as Baker led them to 268 for six with his unbeaten century.
